"We are so pleased with the Freezerworks upgrade. It makes data entry using the Batch Entry feature so much faster. Batch Update allows us to update sample information, aliquots and transactions quickly and efficiently. The Shipping feature allows us to select the samples, adjust the volume and update transactions in one step. The advanced search, which allows you to save a search and go back to it later, is also fantastic. All in all, I think Dataworks Development has done a fabulous job of listening to their customers and providing them with the type of features that makes our jobs more cost and time efficient."

Downloading Freezerworks 5.5 getting "open with" prompt

An early version of the download Freezerworks 5.5 program was named with two periods " ." in the name (Freezerworks 5.5 for Windows.exe).  This caused confusion with some versions of Windows, which didn't understand which period indicated the file extension, and thus downloaded the file without the ".exe" extension.  Thus, Windows does not recognize the download as a self extracting file.

If your file was downloaded without the .exe extension and Windows is requesting what program to use to open the file ('Choose the program you want to use to open this file"), you can correct the problem by adding a .exe to the end of the file.  Or you can request Dataworks for a replacement download at support@dwdev.com.
