“Besides all the obvious benefits of being optimized specifically for freezer inventory management, the real beauty of Freezerworks Unlimited is the inherent flexibility of the program. This is especially important when your accession procedures or underlying data requirements are subject to unanticipated change.”

Former President of the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER)

Ovee(TM) wireless scanner with Freezerworks |

National Labtools has introduced the Ovee(TM) wireless scanner, compatible with Freezerworks Unlimited SOAP server and Freezerworks Client/Server. The Ovee is designed to be placed in a remote freezer room, or wherever samples are processed or stored. When a sample is scanned, the Ovee links to the Freezerworks database and using a SOAP (web service) call, displays data from the sample record on the Ovee screen. This allows the user to quickly verify the contents and status of a sample without the need for a PC. Because the Ovee is wireless, it can be easily moved from location to location.
According to Dr. Sean Graves of National Labtools, the Ovee requires no programming to set up and use. The Freezerworks information that is displayed on the Ovee is easily configurable. The Ovee is capable of reading linear barcodes and 2D matrix codes.

Above is an Ovee configured to read a bar code placed on a tissue cup.
For information on using the Ovee with Freezerworks Unlimited, contact Sean Graves, PhD at National Labtools (sgraves@nationallabtools.com).
